Paralleling EC-Fans

ECFanGrid made of n high efficient EC-Fans. An ECFanGrid acts like a single Rosenberg EC-Fan. The controlling is identical. Difference of the single fan, the ECFanGrid offers the following benefits: Redundancy (scelectable n+1) by system ,closing plates for redundancy scenarios integrated, high availability, simple installation, simple replacement & maintenance, short delivery times for replacements, exchange takes only minutes, no belt and ball bearing maintenance, hygienic, cleaning easy , efficiency use of high efficient EC-Technology, integrated variable speed control and Air Flow measurement device, more uniform air flow increased efficiency of other components like heat exchangers or filter (increased service life), less low-frequency noise.

The ULH (Ultra Low Harmonic) technology is a 3~active PFC (Power Factor Correction) which is integrated in the EC electronics.

Properties of ULH technology:

• High power factor (typically above 0,99 with nominal ratings)：

This reduces the reactive power consumption and the current consumption which relieves the building infractructure (cables, transformer, compensation systems, …) and also the total energy cost.

• Sinusoidal current consumption (THDC less than 3 % in a wide power range)：
Non-sinusoidal currents distort the voltage supply (depending on the capacity of the feeding grid).

You receive with the MTC-MultiControl a multi-function controller with integrated display. The housing is made of plastic and can be easily installed on the desired mounting location for example wall by using two screws. The
integrated week timer can switch between the day/night setpoint and also switch the controller on and off. The
varied areas of use characterise this controller. There are no limits for the controller with the predefined programs. ex: pressure-, volume flow-, temperature-, humidity-, CO2-, speed control and more directors.
The MTC is equipped with two control loops (two outputs 0-10Vdc) and a relay output. Various adjustable
parameters are available for the optimal use of the controller. The MTC was specially developed for the usage of
EC-Fans. Through a microSD-Card the predefined parameters can be transferred in a simple way to the controller,perfectly suited for use in a wide variety of applications.

Smart Control, Seamless Integration — Rosenberg EC Fan Control Solution
Rosenberg’s patented control concept allows all EC fans to be managed via a single signal from the Building Management System (BMS). Even with an N+1 redundancy configuration, no changes to the control logic are required—streamlining both installation and operation.

All fans are connected to a common alarm contact, which immediately signals a fault via a 24 VDC or potential-free output if any fan fails, enabling real-time monitoring.

The system fully supports existing 0–10V signals from Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in both one-to-one and one-to-many configurations—no modifications to the EC fan control cabinet are necessary. Fan speed can be smoothly adjusted from 0 to 100% using a shared control signal, and fans can be activated simply by closing a contact.

Each EC control cabinet is equipped with a manual/automatic switch, allowing operators to toggle control modes as needed—whether integrated with a BMS or operated independently.

For enhanced usability, the EC fan control cabinet can be optionally equipped with a Human Machine Interface (HMI), providing facility managers with an intuitive interface for real-time monitoring and control on-site.
