Technology Overview

ITRI has developed a novel non-contact miniature power-sensing sensor called Power Tab, which offers easy installation, low cost, and high accuracy benefits. By simply attaching it onto a power wire, Power Tab can measure the power characteristics with minimal installation work and space. The collected data is integrated with energy management systems and AI control algorithms to identify the optimal energy-saving solution.

Applications & Benefits

Power Tab has been deployed and field validated successfully in many applications including business offices, fabs, and supermarkets, generating significant energy savings. This innovation also received a TIE Award at the 2023 Taiwan Innotech Expo for its superior features and performance.
